There is 1 official campground on the Cedar River and its located in Downtown Gladwin within walking distance
of the coffee shop and other food establishments including the Riverwalk Complex (fine dining/bar overlooking the
Cedar River, shops, ReMax Real Estate (Wayne Waltz Broker/Owner). The Gladwin City Campground/South
Park is also our pickup location and the finnish of our 2-2.5 hour Cedar River canoe/kayak/tube trip for people
camping in the park. The city campground/park is located behind the 3 story Gladwin County Building and is a city
run campground directly on the "Golden" Cedar River. This beautiful campground/park has a sandy beach for
swimming, 61 campsites with electricity, fire rings and showers. The campground also has a tot lot, picnic areas,
playground, tennis courts, basketball courts and hiking trails. This would be a good campground for a 2 - 3 day
canoe trip. There are other areas along the river that are State/County land for public use that can be used as
rest/relaxation points. 250 City Park, Gladwin, Mich. 48624 (Look for campground sign on M-61 with yellow
canoe up on top - next to the County Sheriffs building). For reservations at the campground call

Call us ahead of time and we can pick you up right at your campsite in the Gladwin City Campground or
behind Burger King on M-61 in downtown Gladwin. When your finnished you just leave the boat near
the beach in the city campground or near the river behind Burger King and walk back to your car or
campsite. Doesn't get any easier than that. (All appointments meet behind Burger King on Saturdays)
